Congratulations to Brooke and Brian who were married at Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport, NC! Their reception was at the Southport Community Building, and what a PARTY! Miss Tonya and Miss Julie of A Carolina Wedding were responsible for making this event run as smoothly and beautifully as any I’d ever photographed.

Brooke is one of those brides that I’ll always remember. She is just plain FUN! She was up for anything, both at her portrait session and on the wedding day – the most important thing was that she was marrying Brian; all the other stuff was just… stuff. LOVE that in a bride! 
Brooke and her friend Amy were real troopers at the bridal session, letting me go with my whims and set Brooke up in strange locations and make her do funny things, like arch her back or lean on a headstone. These are my favorites from the session.
PS: Brooke’s wedding was on June 3rd, so everyone has seen her in her gown now, and it’s okay to post these! Finally!!!
Kat and Randy will be married on June 17th at Duke Gardens. We did some traditional portraits at the gardens in her gown, but I can’t show those until after Randy sees her on the 17th!
For now, though, I can show the “glam” portraits we made at the theater, because Randy was there helping out with lighting. Randy, by the way, is an award winning Cannes Film Festival filmmaker! Kat and Randy are big old film buffs and certainly surrounded by the arts and particularly motion pictures, so they decided their reception will pay homage to the 40’s and 50’s Hollywood era. I can’t WAIT to see how it all comes together!
