The photographic industry lost a legend last night. Mentor to all, Monte is the reason I am where I am today. The friends I’ve made, the colleagues I’ve learned from, the steps I’ve taken in my business are all traceable back to something Monte said, or did, or some vessel he provided so that I may learn and grow.
Another photographer, David Williams, said so succinctly: “But what happens now, Monte? You were everywhere.”
I could not have said it better. Monte is everywhere. Now it is up to us.
Goodnight, Monte. We will miss you always.

I was just checking out your website and read about the pasting of Monte. I just meet him and eddie tapp this year. He was so nice to me I have picture taken with him usually something I don’t do because I’m shy sometime. He was such a gentleman.
May God bless him and his family
