I am heading to St Cloud Minnesota this weekend for the Capture Your Success ‘07 Herff-Jones Professional Finishing Seminar. That’s a mouthful!

A few months ago, I got an email from the organizers of this event asking me to be a speaker. After a lot of nervous consideration, I agreed and got to work figuring out what I would talk about. This is my first speaking engagement in the photography world, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit nervous. Guys, they have me scheduled for NINETY MINUTES. That’s right. Watch the movie Cars. That’s how long I’ll be talking.

Those of you who know me personally know I can talk for 90 minutes without taking a breath, but that’s when I’m rambling on about weddings or life or how much I want to marry Eddie Vedder. At this seminar, I’ll be talking about my approach to weddings – from the initial consultation through the actual shooting and delivery, and my style and personality and how it meshes so well with my clients. You know, *easy* stuff like that.

<tiny bit of hyperventilation goes here>

I’m told there will be about 75 attendees. That’s not so bad. I organize groups that big at weddings all the time. I can do this. Right?

So I’ll be out of town until late Tuesday May 8th. If you don’t hear from me, that’s why. Wish me luck! I’ll report back next week after I’m back and thoroughly embarassed.
