Fort Fisher Beach Family Portraits

Sarah emailed me a few weeks ago asking if I could shoot their family portrait while they vacationed at the beach this August. Oh hell yeah I can! I love these people!!!

So it was Sarah and Greg, Sarah’s mom, and Sarah’s brother (also Greg) and his family. Sarah’s dad couldn’t make it for the portrait session – he spent the week telling corny jokes to nurses at the hospital.:(Everyone was totally lighthearted about it, but I thought it completely sucked that Dad couldn’t be there for the session. It wasn’t anything TOO serious, but I felt like it was a little incomplete without him there. Maybe next year, right?

So… I don’t think i can put into words how perfect this session was. First of all, I’d already worked with these folks before, so they know how I work, we’re comfortable together, and we have the same sense of humor (somewhat sick, very sarcastic, awfully dry). But the energy from all of them was perfect. I came home and said out loud “that was the best – best – BESTEST session ever.” No, really, I really said that. I never said I was cool or terribly bright.

So here are a few more from that evening!

Thanks for your time Charo. Glad you had as much fun as we did. You’ve done an excellent job making our goofy family look semi-normal. Doesn’t eveyone throw their 2r old kid 6′ up in the air?
