It has been a busy season so far! I’ve traveled from Wilmington to the great state of Washington, back to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, up to Richmond, and the beautiful mountains of Virginia! I’m back in Virginia this weekend, then off to Milwaukee and Chicagoland next!

All this travel has taken its toll on my poor blog. I have had the worst time trying to find an hour here, two hours there just to get some new entries out for you. I’m still in a time crunch, heading out for another very long distance wedding this weekend and trying to get caught up on the few that are in the queue for editing, but I thought I would take a quick breather and show two images from each wedding and engagement that I’ve shot over the last 6 weeks…

I’ll be posting full-length blog entries on each of these sessions and events … in August. Yeah. I think August will be a little calmer! :)

Alice Ann and Henry got married at the Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, one of my favorite NC towns. This was one of the most detail-rich weddings I’ve seen all year (look at those gorgeous flowers by Bless Your Heart in Boone, NC). Every table had a unique floral arrangement, there were little “small mountain town” details hidden throughout the reception tent, it was just a photographer’s dream.

Aside from the freak rainstorm that delayed the ceremony by about a half hour, the day went perfectly. Michael and I had an incredible time working with you guys, congratulations!!!

I was not kidding about these incredible details:

Litchfield Plantation, South Carolina. Beautiful setting; gorgeous, irreverent, witty bride; handsome, sweet, adoring groom; and a fine mixture of Southerners and Brits. It really was a fun and beautiful day. Perfect weather, even! And no bugs!!! There were a ton of kids at this wedding, which was perfect – Kate obviously just adores children, and they just eat her up. Once again, the first time I met Kate and James was on their wedding day… and once again, I was absolutely thrilled at how marvelously we all got along. I’m really lucky – I think I get the best clients in the world!

Well, I could talk forever, so I should just get to the pictures, huh? :)

Isn’t she beautiful?

I happened to catch the older flowergirl berating the younger one… I have no idea what the conversation was about, but this cracked me up.

Meera and Kedar were married on April 5, 2008 outside of Richmond Virginia, at a gorgeous working farm on the James River. It wasn’t supposed to rain, but it absolutely POURED. It didn’t matter – Meera, Kedar, and their FIVE HUNDRED GUESTS stayed dry and celebrated in a huge beautifully appointed tent. It was a great day! I had the help of some fabulous photographer friends of mine – Allegra, Bob, and Paige. It was great fun to work with this amazingly talented team, to finally meet Bob for the first time, and to *finally* have a chance to hug my dear friend Allegra for the first time since… I think 2004!

Meera and Kedar had a very traditional and long Indian ceremony under the tent, followed by hours of dancing, toasts, and an incredible spread of fragrant and beautiful food for dinner and dessert. My night ended right after the newlyweds took to the stage and sang with the band! They were a terrifically fun, energetic, and drop-dead-gorgeous couple. I’m so happy I got to spend this day with them! And 500 of their closest friends! ;)

And, finally, the Fabulous Foto Team! L-R: me, Bob, Allegra, and Paige! I really need to do something about my hair. (this shot is copyright Allegra)

Congratulations, Meera and Kedar!!!

Jesica and Brad. You might remember them from their Holy Hotness Engagement Session.

They got married on the 30th of December at Barclay Villa in Angiers, NC. It’s like a castle in the middle of nowhere. Really different, and just a gorgeous setting for a winter wedding.

But whatever – Jesica and Brad are not only ridiculously good looking, they’re unbelievably sweet people. Like, way sweet. With sweetness. This wedding was adorable – Jesica was adorable, her family (many from Peru) were adorable, it was this crazy mixture of cultures and languages, Brad was 100% darling, I cannot say enough about how amazing and sweet and wonderful these people are. The tragedy is, they live in Florida – so I don’t get to hang out and drink beer with them. I so would, because these are my kinda people.

So, are you sick of hearing about how awesome they are yet? Ha. Now you get to see how beautiful they are. Don’t hate – they’re as down to earth as they are aesthetically pleasing. ;-)

Cool detail

I love this – look at all the hands working on little Jesica!
