I don’t even know how to begin talking about Kishshana and Terrence. I met Kish almost two years ago when she was planning the original version of her wedding. Plans changed… and changed again… and again… again… yeah, it was getting silly. But during all the planning and confusion, Kish and I became great friends. She’s absolutely nuts, like me, and we can spend hours on the phone together talking about anything at all.

So she finally got the plans together for an elopement in Savannah.

Word to the wise: if you’re planning an elopement, don’t tell anyone!

Within a couple weeks of the planned getaway it had turned into a fullscale wedding – dress, flowers, cake, reception, everything! So her vision changed a bit, but I think it really turned out amazing, and I know everyone who was there had a great time watching Kish and Terrence finally tie the knot.

They got married at Fragrance Gardens in one of the bazillion little gardeny park things in Savannah. It was so pretty – an enclosed garden with stucco walls and wrought iron gates, total Savannah feel. Live oaks, spanish moss, the whole nine. After the ceremony everyone headed to the restaurant for the dinner reception, and I was meeting the newlyweds down at the waterfront for pictures. Except the entire city of Savannah was under construction and every human being that lives within a five hundred mile radius of Georgia was in town for… well, I guess to hang out with the construction workers, I dunno. Maybe Spring Break had something to do with it. Nevertheless, it took me an eternity to find a parking spot and get shooting again, but once we got back into picture mode I realized that Kish and Terrence are MADE for this stuff. They were naturals, it’s rare to find couples who just *know* what you’re talking about when you give them vague, lame directions. I loved photographing them. Hopefully they’ll get me up there to shoot their family portraits soon, hint, hint.
