I first met Whitney and Alex at Danielle and Trey’s wedding, back in 2008. Not long after Danielle’s pictures went online, Whitney hired me to photograph her wedding in Hawaii. Then a few things changed, mostly due to some family not being able to make it all the way out to the islands for the wedding, and they changed it to Hilton Head Island, SC. And a few more things happened, and they ended up planning a local wedding after all. I know Whitney was a bit bummed about that in the beginning – but in the end, it meant all their friends and family could be there, and it turned out to be a ridiculously fun day after all. Even if we weren’t in Hawaii. Pout.
So, they got married in Kenan Chapel in Landfall, and the reception was at the Bluewater. Anyone familiar with Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach has at least had a meal at Bluewater, if not attended a wedding there. I’ve been here so long, I remember when it was Wally’s.
Where was I? Oh, yeah. Their reception was uber fun. And I’m pretty sure they had the cutest cake toppers I’ve ever seen.
