Warning: lots of pictures ahead.
I can’t really say enough about this wedding. I mean, where do I start? The Mill at Fine Creek in Powhatan VA (just south of the James River in the Richmond area) is an incredible venue. Top to bottom, start to finish, they were professional, fun, easygoing, and provided the best quality food and service I’ve seen a great while. The grounds were so, so beautiful. The mill ruins (where Martha and Neil held their ceremony) is so picturesque, so rustic, the whole place is just phenomenal. I remember when Martha was tossing around a few different venue ideas, and this was on her short list. I’m SO glad she ended up choosing the Mill. It turned out perfect. Beyond perfect.
So, that’s the venue. Now how about the couple?
I see a lot of brides and grooms, right? And I’d say that 99% of them really love each other. But maybe, *maybe* one couple out of a hundred shows their love in such a way that everyone around them falls in love all over again. Did that even make sense? These people love each other so visibly, that you can’t help but fall in love yourself. It’s like magic, only it’s just Martha and Neil. They’re ridiculous. I mean that in the kindest, most affectionate way possible.
The weather didn’t behave properly for the wedding day, but who cares? It was gorgeous anyway, and with these details and expressions and beautiful faces, I just couldn’t go wrong. They made my job too easy.
